- The completion of our music class. Yes, music class ends in the range of one semester, sorry to say. But we managed to go out with a bang; we managed to finalize our end-of-semester performance. We narrowed the songs down to three phenomenal, legendary hits and focused on perfecting that. And I'm not gonna brag, but I think we aced that thing. Sure, there were a few errors along the way, and I have to admit, even the final performance could've used some improving. But we learnt a lot, such as how to play the kolintang at a fast rate, how to "dance" (during this phase, a person (whose name I'd like to keep under wraps) also learnt how to make the perfect "evil laugh", but that's beside the point), and how to re-enact the Beatles' performance when they did "Hey Jude". (I have to admit, I didn't actually sing. I just introduced the song, but that still counts for something...right?) I learnt the finer points of public speaking, and how to react if the crowd unexpectedly cheers SPECIFICALLY at you while you're onstage. To sum it all up, we did a pretty good job for our final performance.
- A reflection on the ups and downs of each person's performance in the semester. (actually, the "performance" was analyzed by a student's blog, which, in quite a lot of cases, wasn't done yet. Hooray...) Unsurprisingly, a few girls (whose names I would ALSO like to keep anonymous) got outstanding feedback for their blogs. And unsurprisingly, the boys ALSO got outstanding feedback regarding their blogs. (note: by "outstanding", I didn't mean that we got excellent grades for our blogs, by "outstanding" I meant that some boys were praised for their creativity, although our performances weren't as stellar as most of our opposite gender. (no offense, guys who are reading this, I'm a male too) We'll get to that later, OK?) Certain boys were full of creativity, which they expressed in their blogs. On the other hand, I was full of creativity...and, um, "free speech" (in the form of joking references to the class and a few, um, how should I put this gently, uhh, "symbolized swear words") which I may have gone a little overboard with. ("bleeped" "R-Rated-level" curse words, which I will NOT tell you for reasons you are about to find out) If you've read my previous posts, (as of December 4th, 2014 and earlier) you may have noticed that I've got a bit of a "cursing problem" compared to my classmates, even if those words are symbolized. So to make a VERY LONG explanation short, let's just say that the school authorities have a bit (a BIT? who the hell are you kidding, Jay?) of a problem regarding curse words, so I'll, um, go back and replace those words with more "user-friendly" vocabulary in a few days, hm? Alright, thanks for your understanding. Phew. I think I need help...
THE END?
